Depending on where you spend your vacation, you can then use our overview to plan more precisely when and where you want to visit a market.

What types of markets can be found on Tenerife?

Farmers markets on Tenerife

Farmers markets can be found all over the island. Here you can get fresh fruits and vegetables and even at better prices than in the supermarkets. This is the perfect place for self-caterers who prefer to stay in a vacation home rather than in an all-inclusive hotel. Additionally, you are supporting the farmers first hand. Most markets also have at least one booth which offers organic products.

Mixed tourist markets on Tenerife

At these markets there are many booths with souvenirs, clothes, jewelry or even shoes. However, some booths also sell fresh fruits and vegetables. Many locals also offer local aloe vera products. These markets are usually larger than the farmers markets and specifically designed for tourists.

Artisan markets on Tenerife

Proper arts and crafts markets do not take place regularly on Tenerife, though you will find some booths selling handicrafts at most tourist markets.
