Boat trips: Due to its proximity to the harbour, this place is of course particularly suitable for boat trips of all kinds. Many of the ferries to the other Canary Islands leave here, but also the boats for dolphin and whale watching tours, sunset tours and sailing trips. You can even watch whales and dolphins on a Viking ship or rent a small motor boat yourself.
Water sports: There are plenty of water sports activities on offer on the various beaches, such as jet skiing, flyboarding, diving, snorkelling or even pedal boating. You don’t need any previous knowledge for this and can therefore just try something new.
Tours on land: There are quite a few quad tours where you can get to know Tenerife in an exciting way. You drive partly on paved roads and of course off-road. In addition to quad tours, buggy tours are also offered, where driving fun is combined with sightseeing.
The things to see in Costa Adeje
Barranco del Infierno: Every day up to 300 visitors are allowed to hike through the nature reserve of the Valley of Hell. In total, this hike takes about 3 ½ hours and the trail is 6.5 km long. Despite the name, the hike is easy to moderate, so children can also participate. You walk on an old shepherd’s path to a river bed where it seems as if the rocks are closing over you.
Siam Park: Siam Park is located in the La Caleta National Park and is one of the most exciting water parks in the world. It is in the Thai style and was even opened in 2008 by the Princess of Thailand. The park offers countless water slides, a pool with artificial waves and an aquarium. The water park is certainly not just fun for children, parents can also relax at the Siam Beach or in the Mai Thai River.
Jungle Park Las Aguilas: This park is home to around 500 animals. It is located in a forest area, so the visitor experiences a particularly authentic atmosphere here. In addition to the various animals in an adapted environment, the bobsleigh run and giant slide ensure a lot of fun. There are also restaurants and of course a souvenir shop.

Centro Comercial Playa del Duque: Pure luxury shopping 365 days a year. The shopping centre is located in an area of 5-star hotels and is the only luxury shopping centre on the Canary Islands. There are over 50 shops on its 3 floors.
The Corner Shopping Center: It is a smaller mall with only 18 different shops spread over 2 floors. There are 3 restaurants available for a little snack in between. The mall is right next to the Playa del Duque beach, which is why you can have a few cold drinks or some food there.
Gran Sur Centro Comercial: It is the largest mall on the Costa Adeje. The offer ranges from clothes shops and perfumeries to a variety of restaurants and a cinema with a total of 7 halls. The Gran Sur Centro Comercial is open 365 days a year.
Centro Comercial El Mirador: It is located ight next to the beach promenade and has a size of 50,000 square meter. Here you will find many international brands, a supermarket and a good selection of restaurants. There is also an artisan market every first and third Sunday of the month, where the island’s artisans, dressed in traditional clothing, sell their goods.
The Nightlife of Costa Adeje
The south of Tenerife is known for its good parties and the north simply can’t compete with this. There is a huge selection of bars and discos, most of which are open until the early hours of the morning. Here are a few impressions from the most famous clubs:
Achaman Discopub: This club is especially popular for its comparatively cheap drinks and its excellent Pina Colada. It’s the perfect place to meet locals and dance the night away to Latin music. In the Achaman Discopub there are always themed evenings, such as the salsa party.
The Pub Tenerife: A pub as you imagine it, with good beer and a pub quiz!
The TIBU: The TIBU is the club for all nightlife lovers who want to party until sunrise. It is the largest and often the fullest club on the island, with many different DJs.
St. Eugen’s: A great place for all age groups. There is live music, karaoke evenings and drinks at reasonable prices.
La CocKteleria: quite a small bar with a large selection of cocktails. Since there are only a few tables, the shop always seems to be full. A visit is always worthwhile, as the drinks convince in taste and price.
The weather all year round in Costa Adeje
The climate on the Costa Adeje is very mild. The temperatures are between 26 and 29 degrees in the summer months from June to September. The water has a temperature of 21-23 degrees and invites you to cool off. At night you can expect temperatures around 17 degrees. The coldest month in Costa Adeje is January with 15-20 degrees, at this time the water with 20 degrees may feel warmer than the air outside. There are a total of 35 rainy days a year. You can perfectly spend your time here tanning and bathing all year round and you don’t have to worry about your excursions plans either.
The beaches in Costa Adeje and their features
There are many beautiful sandy beaches on the Costa Adeje, which you can stroll along on a 7km walk. All beaches are equipped with sun beds and umbrellas. In the following we will introduce you to each individual beach:
Playa del Duque: Here you can expect a fine, light sandy beach, with sunbeds, bamboo umbrellas and turquoise-blue sea. There is also a nice promenade right on the beach to buy a drink to cool off. Another advantage of this beach is that you will find plenty of and, above all, cheap parking options.
Playa de Fanabe: Playa de Fanabe is located in a very quiet bay with light grey lava sand. In addition to sunbathing, you can also do many water sports activities such as pedal boating, snorkelling, parasailing or even jet ski tours. On the promenade you will find a large gastronomic offer in all price ranges.
Playa de Puerto Colón: Just a few minutes’ walk from Playa del Duque you will find this bright, sandy beach. On the right side it is interrupted by a large rock that protects the beach from the wind. On the left is the Puerto Colón marina, from which many excursion boats leave every day. There are many bars and restaurants on the promenade for snacking during or after your stay on the beach and of course one or two souvenir shops. Here, too, you can find a large selection of water sports, such as jet skiing, parasailing, diving or even flyboarding.
Playa del Bobo: In contrast to the other beaches on the Costa Adeje, this beach is rather quiet. The fine grey-brownish sand invites you to sunbathe and the children can splash around in the shallow water. As there is no water sports centre here, it is safer in the water, especially for swimmers but also for children, as there is no need to watch out for water sports enthusiasts. The restaurants and bars on this promenade have comparatively low prices.
